Job Title: Daycare Van Driver / Early Childhood Educator (Level 1)

Magical Minds Daycare and Out of School Care (OSC) in Edmonton is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are currently seeking a responsible and caring individual to join our team as a Daycare Van Driver, who will also work in the classroom as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1).
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate the daycare van for morning, afternoon, and school pick-ups/drop-offs.
Ensure children’s safety and well-being during transport.
Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness.
Support classroom activities and daily routines as an ECE Level 1.
Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
Supervise and engage children in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff.
Adhere to daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Required:
Alberta Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1 Certification.
Valid Class 4 Driver’s License (or willingness to obtain before employment).
Clean Driver’s Abstract.
Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
Clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector.
Preferred Assets:
Previous childcare and/or driving experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, reliability, and a passion for working with children.
