Responsibilities
Tasks
•Prepare and cook Pakistani cuisine including famous karahi curries, curries, biryanis, tandoori items, kebabs, naan, and other traditional dishes.
•Cook food items according to restaurant recipes, portion sizes, and customer orders.
•Operate kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, grills, fryers, tandoors, and other cooking appliances.
•Ensure dishes are ready according to service requirements.
•Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use and maintain proper food storage practices.
•Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of prepared meals.
•Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures while handling and preparing food.
•Clean and sanitize cooking areas and kitchen equipment after food preparation.
•Maintain inventory of food ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment, and keep records of available stock to ensure required items are available for daily restaurant operations.
•Supervise kitchen helpers during daily food preparation activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to restaurant standards.
•Train new kitchen staff and helpers on food preparation procedures, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment operation, food safety practices, and restaurant policies.
