Responsibilities
Tasks
• Plan, organize, and supervise the day-to-day operations of transport truck drivers by assigning
routes, coordinating delivery and pickup schedules, and ensuring that all assignments are carried
out efficiently and on time.
• Monitoring drivers’ availability, arranging shifts, adjusting schedules to accommodate changes
such as delays or urgent requests, and maintaining clear communication with drivers to ensure
smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws while
optimizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
• Identify, source, and procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies required for daily
operations by assessing current inventory levels and anticipating future needs. This includes
preparing and submitting purchase requests and ensuring that all orders are placed in a timely and
cost-effective manner.
• Resolve work-related problems and train staff for policies and their execution.
• Arrange for onsite periodical inspections of vehicles to assess safety.
• Handle customer service complaints related to safety and take corrective actions.
• Track truck driver’s behavior, time keeping and driver hours, miles, and their attendance.
• Maintain high standards of work quality and ensure effective teamwork within drivers.
